I need to replace my rubber fuel line from my tank to fuel filter and was wondering if anyone knew what size hose to buy ? For my 97 XJ 4.0

I believe 5/16" and 3/8" maybe... Make sure it fuel injection hose not low pressure hose. I've also switched to using fuel injection hose clamps for most hoses as they're cheap and IMO provide a better hold.

 

Always use fuel injection hose and make sure it's compatible with oxygenated fuels.

 

There are a couple of sizes of flexible fuel lines if you count the one under the hood to and from the evap canister.

 

To make it easier to find the right fuel hose, make sure it is spec'ed at 30R9. 30R9 fuel hose can be used for gas, ethanol, diesel, biodiesel, and sour gas. It also is rated for high pressure and a wide temperature range.

Yes, the hose is a little pricey, but it will hold up to almost anything and will last longer doing it.
