Default '97 XJ Fender Flare Retainer Bracket Nut/Washer size?

I recently ordered some replacement retainer brackets for my '97 XJ's left rear fender flare but don't have the nuts and washers. I guess I need to go to a hardware store for them but was wondering what size they are so I know what to get.

I'm not sure about the thread, but the hex was 10mm on my 97.

get ready for them to break as soon as you turn them, then find a buddy with a welder...

I already broke the old ones trying to take them off. I don't know how I could break the new ones putting them on. Could you clarify, nickl?

So either 10mm or 11mm? Word. Thank you, Jeep peeps. I'll give the dealership a call for an exact measurement so I know what to get.
