Default 97 xj driver side window wont go down

Hello I'm having issues with my driver side window not going down all other Windows go down but the driver side. I ordered a new window switch for the driver side thinking it would fix the issue but after installing the new switch it didn't fix the problem. What do I do now.

take the door panel off, get to the window motor, un plug motor and get a test light and see if there is power when you push the switch up and down. the power will change from the 2 wires from up and down. if there is no power at the plug then you will have to trace the wires and see where the wire is broken ( look in the door jam where the wires pass from the body to the door). and if you have power at the plug then the motor is bad.

I use needle nose pliers to push the clips off the rods, they will only go in one direction.
