ive read as much as i could find on this... with most people swapping the whole harness and engine and everything to make the 89 models a HO and add the dash and all to it... i was wondering if anyone else has found anything where they did this swap with splicing in the wiring for the gauges (which is the only hard part) to the 89 model wirings... the speedos are electrical also on the 97+ vs the 89's mechanical... only thing i can think of there is maybe taking the clusters apart and swapping the speedos... doubt its that easy though... heck if all i get is the speedo on the dash id be happy cause i can just buy some autometer gauges and mount them under the dash for the thermostat and all... dont really care about the check engine light on this old of a model... doesnt do much anyways... just wanted to bounce some ideas off you guys... thanks!!
