Looking to possibly upgrade my A/c system. Theres a 98 or 99 Xj in the junkyard with a brand new A/c pump on it. Its super clean, all the A/c parts are while the rest of the stuff is dirtier..leads me to think it was serviced/replaced recently.

Anyway is my 1990 A/c pump the same at the 97+ versions? I have a R12 obviously..so is the only difference the R12 vs R134 or are the pumps them selves different?

I really would like to swap in the 97+ A/c stuff as it is soo much cleaner looking then my old renix junk.
