Just bought a 97 XJ 4.0 Auto. When you first crank it after it sits it stalls when you first take off like you turned the key off then takes off then stalls again. Just replaced plugs, wires, cap, & button. I even took the throttle body off and cleaned it along with the Idle Air sensor, any have a clue?

No one? I'm trying to make this a daily driver and still haven't figured anything out. Cleaned the IAC, has complete tune-up. When you first crank it after it sits for a few hours or over night it cranks the first try. Then after about 2-3min it starts idling funny. When you start down the road it'll get upto 2-2500 spm max then almost die like you turned the key off. It'll die down to like 700-800 then back to 2K rpm til the coolant gauge reads normal operating temp.

CAN ANYONE PLEASE GIVE ME A CLUE OR HINT WHAT TO LOOK FOR?

Also it's not pulling any CEL's unless the bulb's been pulled.

How many miles? My car's cat was so clogged if I didn't let it warm up for a few it would stall soon as I took off and then was hard to restart. Ran fine once warmed up though.
