96 XJ Overheated Now Hard to Start
I’ve got a 96 Jeep Xj had it since around December. It’s been fine running till couple months back it overheated real bad and shut off. Now it’s super hard to get running and will only run when giving it some gas soon as I let off it dies. Completely lost on what it could be. Any help would be appreciated.
No idea why it overheated was just driving and next thing I know it’s steaming threw antifreeze everywhere and then shut off. Ever since then it’s been hard to get started. Will only run if you’re giving it gas and keeping rmps high.

1) things don't overheat/throw coolant all over the place because it's a full moon. You need to figure that one out and fix it. The coolant throwing makes me wonder if it was a hose etc
2) if it did throw coolant around the engine compartment it may have well drenched ignition and or sensors, you need to persue that. Hook up your scan tool and do whatever you need to to keep it running for a while and see what it tells you. Don't assume the sensors you replaced before this happened are still good.
. good luck.
