Default 96 XJ hard start instant shut off

My 96 Xj has been running rich the last few weeks but has been running driving decent. Yesterday it was a little hard starting, like I had to push the petal all the way to the floor to get it to start then it would bump a little and then drive fine. this morning it was really hard starting, I would push the pedal to the floor it would start and instantly lose RPM's and sputter at 100-200 RPM's for a few seconds and then shut off. If I unhooked the TPS it would start the same but would continue to run just horrible. I pulled the codes and there only code is a ECT sensor circuit high voltage code p0118 but I can't imagine that has anything to do with it. Any ideas to send me in the right direction? I replaced the TPS with another I had not positive it worked but it still didn't change anything.

Coolant temp sensor? Sure can have something to do with it. Check you fuel pressure too.
