96' stalling at stop and hestiation while driving

96 is a mix. They were switching over and phasing in the OBD2 changes. So early year models might be OBD1, later some were made with the internal diagnostic port for OBD2 but were still actually OBD1, later (like mine) were simply OBD2.

if u dont mind me asking, what date stamp is on your brass plate?

I have 2 x 4/96 and a 7/96..havent checked the 7/96 with the Torque yet

I had time today to really inspect the ignition coil and thought I could see a crack. I asked my wife to check it out. Her eyes are much better than mine. Sure enough she says it's cracked. I pulled it out ( what a pain in the a**! ). It was cracked along the engine side of the coil and underneath. I installed a new one and I'll be damned, all of my symptoms are gone! What a relief and thanks everyone for all the advice.
