Ran the seafoam through it today. Made a huge difference. It's idles and drives like a new Cherokee.

I smoked out the neighborhood, not just a little smoke but more like a smoke screen. Anybody behind me would have had to pull over....Good thing the roads were quiet.

I haven't had a chance to check the compression yet but I will soon. Pulling the #1 FI plug off make a difference now during idle.

I'll post back the compression results later on.

How did the compression turn out? I'm thinking I might need to try the seafoam bit. Started to idle rough in the last two weeks.

did you use the whole bottle of seafoam?
my 92 has a rough idle and im gonna try this.

ive replaced cap, rotor, wires, plugs, cleaned IAC then bought one and still rough idle. Runs smooth at 1200 rpms and drives smooth but with the exhaust leak under the cab the idle sounds horrible.

How exactly are you supposed to use the seafoam?

Run it through the tank?

Way to drag up a dead thread LOL....

but to answer your question.... I've seen people use it in the tank... and some using the version that has a plastic straw (like a can of WD40).. and insert the straw right into the edge of the intake hose on the throttle-body. That will smoke it up quick. I've also seen real world tests for cleaning up deposits with the Marvel Mystery Oil version of it too with great results.

i poured some in my oil cap and rest in fuel
tank. Bottle tells u how much to use in crankcase or fuel tank.
Also pulled off my valve cover (was leaking), didnt see any issues with springs but did pour some seafoam on the intake valves.
cleaned my TB and IAC valve and still idles rough but drives so smooth. Havent had time to borrow compression tools or to mess with it.
mine is a 92 with 110k
