1996 xj. My rear dome light used to come on when I opened my rear lift gate. It recently stopped working. the light still comes on with opening of driver/passenger door. fuse is intact. I took it to a shop to look at and they said I needed a new latch because of a grounding issue. I'm not very good with electrical issues but this seemed weird. I took some photos and picked up two latches from the local junk yard. Any ideas on this issue before I just try swapping out latches? I can take more pictures of specific wiring if needed. Thanks
