Default 96, no wipers

my wipers and my spray nozzles didn't work. I was told by the PO that she needed the intermittent control module. got one of those stuck it in, and now the spray nozzles work, but still no wipers. I can hear the module clicking when I try and turn the wipers on, and I can feel the wiper motor click, but still no wipers.

any thoughts?

Well, You say you can hear the wiper motor click. Then the motor may be sticking. That's what I would check next.

yeah I think I'm gonna hot wire the motor and see if maybe there's some resistance in the power wire and maybe it's just not getting enough juice and that's why it's clicking but not actually working.

Make sure some smarta$$ didn't glue your wipers to the windshield. Not that I've ever done that. But it could happen. Little bottle of super glue and 10 seconds. Everyone has enemies.

In that case, I would try pulling the panel at the base of your windshield and looking in there to make sure there's nothing interfering with the motor or actuator. I've never actually looked in there but it looks like it's just a few Philips head screws.

Hotwiring it means you may cook the motor or worse. If you're going to do that, the best way is to remove the motor and inspect it first, then fuse the supply lead and jump the motor off your battery or a 12v supply. Doing it this way protects the wiring in your Jeep. Also, with the motor removed, you can check the supply voltage with a multimeter.

I've had the panel off. no visible obstructions. I'll pull the motor at work tomorrow if I get a chance. but yeah I'd use a fuse if I were gonna jump it. I back probed the connector and only got 8.5 volts but it could've been a bad connection or I didn't have the multimeter grounded well enough. I'll give it another try if I've got time tomorrow. I just don't wanna pull the motor if I can help it. looks like a royal pain in the *** to get out.
