96 No Spark
Hello guys, new member here.
I have a 96 XJ with 211,000 miles on it. I bought it six months ago with 206,000 miles. I never experienced any problems starting, or any electrical problems of any kind.
Three weeks ago the engine died at low speed in a parking lot. I brought it home and found that there was no spark at the plugs and no spark from the ignition coil.
I did my research and replaced the CPS with a Mopar unit. No spark. I tried switching the ASD relay with a different relay, no spark. I tried installing a new coil, no spark. I then tested the voltage going TO the coil, and found it to be very low (around 6 volts). Any ideas on what I could try next? I'm desperate to get my car running again...

Welcome to the forum. One thing I noticed on my '96... since it's been a Michigan Jeep all of its life, there is rust and corrosion EVERYWHERE! I can't tell you the number of connectors I've had to clean out and/or replace to get good connection because they have been so corroded and nasty inside the plugs.
So first things first, I'd refresh all the grounds and check the battery cables and connections, but then I'd also check the connector for the CPS and trace the wires to make sure they have not gotten pinched or damaged, and I would also check the wires from the ASD relay for any damage or corrosion.
