Default 96 country no spark

Hello everyone I have a 96 Cherokee 4x4 country with the 4.0 engine. I RECENTLY REPLACED ENGINE AND WAS RUNNING FINE. I went to the mud hole this weekend and had a blast coming out of a hole my truck just died no spark replaced distributor coil button cap crank sensor and found that I had blown the fuse lol so I replaced the fuse went back to the whole and jumped time. I put it back in time and it started but then died and now I have no spark please help have checked the fuse it is fine the distributor I put in came off my old engine should I just buy a new one sense everything else is new please help

how did it jump time? I'm kind of stumped here since the distributor only goes in one place and you can't manually adjust the timing.

take the distributor cap off and see if your rotor button is turning. if it is, then look up the test procedures for the coil, cam and crank sensors, and ECM. those are really the only things that SHOULD affect your spark.

I say make sure the rotor is turning because:
1. I have seen a 4.0 cam snapped into 4 pieces
2. I have seen the distributor drive gear roll pin twist off in several different engines
