Well I just bought a '96 Cherokee SE a few days ago. First day went great then like every vehicle I buy, the 2nd day is utter hell of stuff breaking. Sooo the issues:
-#1 The wipers worked fine, Now they wont move but when I turn the dial the initial time I hear a little clicking/ticking noise, but nothing happens. I checked the ground and it seems fine, fuse looks good. Not sure how to get to the motor itself to check the wires though.
Wipers are very needed here in Oregon, so these are #1 priority lol.
-#2 No dash lights or center console lights(the lights where the stick is for drive and park and all that to illimunate the letters). When I pull out the headlight **** nothing happens til the last click that activates the headlights that still work luckily. Not sure if its an issue with the switch there or no bulbs or what.
-#3 Also the jeep was dying on me a lot but I took it to the stealership and it was the crankshaft position sensor which I expected. But they were charging me another $104 to look at each other item so I said just fix that.
Any help would be much greatly appreciated!! And sorry if these existed in searches... I tried looking and couldn't find answers to my specific issues.

The motor is under the cowl grille, the trim piece between the back of the hood and the windshield. There's... 8-10 screws holding it in place on my '92. BUT i would make sure the intermittent control isn't bad. It's a little back box under the dash, just unplug the two cables and hook those together. Also check the breaker for it, it's the lower silver box on the interior fuse block.
For the lights, could be a bad switch or fuse.

Well I solved every problem but one. I dont know how we solved the wiper issue because all we did was remove that cowl grille part and clean around and jiggle some of the parts and it magically worked.

My fuse #19 continues to blow. The headlight/dash light switch turns on all the running lights on the exterior on the first click(Its supposed to turn on the dash lights and all that at this point, but doesnt) And then the next click is headlights i believe which work fine as well. There are no dash lights working, no heater control lights, no lights for the 4wd option shifter. I replace the fuse and it lasts about a day then blows. I do have an aftermarket radio but I don't see how that would be an issue as I have been told it could be. I don't believe it's the switch because the other crap on the switch works. Is it just a terrible short that I can't find anywhere? I really need help with this, I'm getting very sick of this garbage problem. Thanks for any help.
