Hi, I have a 96' Cherokee Classic, build date of 6/96 with the HO 4.0. Sometimes is hard to start in the morning, like it will stumble then I turn the ignition off, starts up fine then. Also hesitates on heavy acceleration, like going up a grade, a little rough idle too. I bought it last August, the original owner who bought it new didn't say if it had a recent tune up. I work at an auto repair shop, so have access to tools and our techs here. They feel it needs a tune up. Any suggestions on the best brands for spark plugs/kits/etc?? Thanks! Carrie

I've had good luck with the Mopar tune-up kit. It was about $50 on Amazon and had cap, rotor and wires.
Use Champion copper plugs - don't waste your money on the fancy stuff, it won't make the Jeep run any better.
You should also consider cleaning up your throttle body and Idle Air Control valve. Also a good thorough cleaning/tightening of all the ground wires and battery cables will be helpful.
