HI guys, This is my first post here and hope for a good answer..

I have noticed when I come to a complete stop and go to take off there seems to be a slight "jerk" kind of like a slip... I have had my tranny services and filter changed and advised "everything was fine with it.

I was talking to a guy yesterday and he stated it could possibly be the tranny mount... anyone ever heard of this? I dont want to go and start replacing parts just because he said this or he said that if you know what I mean. This is my daily driving vehical and really cant have it off the road for days...

Any help would be appriciated.

Thanks.

I have the same symptoms. It feels like something is dropping back in place when you take off from a light. It sounds like it could definitely be the tranny.mount. Easy to check when you get it up on a lift. Just put a pry bar or jack under the tranny . and try to lift it.

I have the same problem (for nearly three years) of a slight clunk when starting from a stopsign. Have you had a chance to check the Xmsn Mount? - bigern

Could be anything ..
motor mount, tranmission mount, ujoint, transmission oil low.. you re going to have to pin point the problem to a certain area and not "jerk feeling"

hes right... although trans mount wont really move much unless you have bad motor mounts also... i know this cause i dropped a motor mount with a bad tranny mount and stuck the fan in the raditor... everything listed above can be checked laying in the dirt... i would guess u joints myself... could also be the rear ends gears slipping or have alot of play and about to bomb... prybar between the tranny and crossmember and if it lifts off replace it... grab the drive shaft.. if it moves up or down or side to side the u joints are bad... of course its going to move if you turn it around... also turning the driveshaft back and forth while the rear end id jacked up in the air and seeing if you get that clunk in the rear end if you go back and forth stopping instantly... and the timing between you stopping the driveshaft and when the tires stop spinning... goodluck!
