So I’m trying to find a replacement fuel rail for my 96 xj, and my brother In law tells me they are the same exact rail. I see on my 96 the fuel line has a clip on it and the 97’s have a quick connect line I believe. Would my fuel line still fit the 97 fuel rail?

that clip is just a safety thing, its not actually holding the line on.

 

Looks like the '96, '97 and '98 use the same rail.

I thought some of the early 96 had the rail with the vacuum controlled regulators...wouldn't bet money on it though
