96 2.5 heater blower not working
Hey,
Just joined the forum and already looking for some help! I've got a 96 2.5 Sport and the blower on the heater is not working, not blowing any air what so ever. So unable to demist the screen which is an issue here in the UK! It does work every now and again for a day or two, then just stops working for weeks.
Not really sure where to look, a quick google shows stuff for later XJs with A/C, but mine is an earlyish model with no A/C.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris

First, make sure the switch isn't faulty and check your fuses. She might have popped one. If not, proceed.
Next case, does the switch work on the highest speed or not at all? If it does work on the highest speed, the blower resistor is bad. If it doesn't work at all, the blower motor is bad. If you need to replace the blower motor, replace the resistor at the same time.

Thanks for the replies, the heater isn't working at full power.
How do I test the switches? Will take a look at the fuses, but seeing as it does work every now and again, I'd ruled them out?
Again, thanks for the help!

if both heater hoses are hot, hot water is going thru the heater core.
