Default '95 Door Problems

Sorry if this has been posted before. I searched through the threads, but did not see anything that would help me.

Here is the problem: My rear passenger side door on my '95 cherokee is very hard to open from the outside. I have to lift up on the handle while depressing the button in order to open it. The thing is, it opens fine from the inside. A friend of mine that works at a body shop told me to adjust the striker plate, but this does not help, plus it opens without any problems from the inside. Any ideas?

Thank you in advance for any help that you can offer!

sounds like you have bad door pins or hinges... it will open fine from the inside because the pins are lined up but after it is hanging... your door goes out of aligment... thats why you have to lift it

I have seen the linkage rods bend so that they do not allow full range of motion. Pull the trim panel and look at the operation - could just need a rebend! Russ
