Default 95 Cherokee AC Leak - Passenger Side

Hello -

So I'm having an issue where the AC is soaking the passenger side, and sometimes the drivers side while making turns. I know this has something to do with the condensate drain, but I can't seem to find it. I know that 95's have a different setup than most, as in no hose coming out of the firewall. Any help is greatly appreciated! I live in Texas, so no AC is impossible.

Thanks!

Not even a nipple coming out of the firewall?......seems like there should be. Maybe broken off/dis-lodged on the cab side of the firewall?

Join the club. My XJ is right now getting this fixed.

Heater and/or A/C drain is one possibility. The second one is the crappy seal on the fire wall, separating the heater blower portions outside and inside the vehicle.

There are a number of articles on the web on fixing this and finding the root cause, in the meantime, enjoy the picture... Mine was discovered quite too late...

I just put my xj back together after finding the leak from the firewall.....little bit of sealant fixed the problem! No more water..... luckily I live in the NW and don't have to worry too much about rust

Was it plugged and did you get it resolved? I have a leak issue in the same area and am looking for tips.

Hey oldmanina2000xj -

Yep, I fixed it by putting a coat hanger in there (carefully) and moving it around a bit. As soon as I did, water came gushing out of the hole. I attached a vacuum to it and tried to get any debris out of there. Since then, it's been a hot week in Texas, and I've been blasting the AC with no wet floors anymore. Hope this helps!
