94 XJ randomly shuts off when stopped.

i agree with the bad ground part. make sure you have a good clean connection on your battery and no corrosion around it.

Hi TJ I realise this is a very old thread but relevant ?
My 95 XJ starts straight up, idles ,gets rougher, then after 10 minutes shuts down ??
Pump ok, ASD and FP relays days old, CKP a week old ?
I am thinking the cam sensor inside distributor is breaking down when gets to temp
and triggers shut down? Started dying random about 6 months back but always re started?
The time frame got shorter and shorter though?
Am I on the right track?
