Gday guys. I got a 94 xj jeep Cherokee i believe now im no wizz around cars bt im not completely useless either. When i got it i noticed it was coughing and farting a little and sometimes it wont go into 2nd untill its nearly at 5000rpm its hasnt been happening all the time just seems to be doing it more with smaller trips. Has anyone got any advice that can help solve this issue please cause i dont want to spend $$$ at every mechanic in town and still come home with the bloody problem lol

 

It COULD be the throttle position sensor causing your issue.
