Default 94 4.0 overheating

Hey guys its been awhile but I am back. My jeep has been parked for the past couple months because it hasnt been economical for me to drive. I have done alittle work to it.... My fenders are trimmed, and my doors are now removable. My carpet is torn up and the floor pan is ready to be welded. (had a slight rusting problem) I should have some pics some time tomorrow. Any way back to the title. I got the Jeep back on the road and I have been having problems with it getting real hot. I actually lifted the back of the hood with alot of washers and kinda created a cowl hood because I read on here that vents and stuff would help. It didnt help. I am not sure how else to fix this problem. It sucks cause every time I wheel it she ends up getting hot and I have to stop.

Any suggestions would be great and thanks.
