93 xj wont start. wont crank.
So I drove my jeep to work today everything was fine... come out and it wont do anything was like the battery was dead.. so I have someone give me a jump... just clicks alot real fast...
so as im sitting here now waiting for my ride I would put the keys in and turn to ign on.. the check engine light would be dim. Then would come on bright and I would hear the fuel pump prime... and. The batt guage would go to about 10-11. Any ideas?

sounds like a battery. if you have cables hook it up to another car for a little bit to give it a surface charge and it should fire. your starter isn't getting enough juice to turn so it just clicks. if having the car sit on it and charge it works just buy a battery. or buy a battery and try it lol.

1. Clean battery terminals and battery posts until SHINY. Connections often overlooked
2. LOAD TEST your battery. Any parts store will do this for you for free
3. Ensure your charging system is charging your battery properly. With a healthy charging system and battery, you should see approximately 13.5 - 14.0 volts on your voltage gauge.

using a test light check for current on the small wire on starter while some one turns the key to start ,if theres no current possible bad electronic ignition switch not the key switch ,if theres current at the small wire bad starter
