My '93 Cherokee Sport is having gauge issues. However, after searching the forum. I did not see anything that fit my bill.

My speedometer, Tachometer, dash lights, and cigarette lighter do not work. All the other gauges read fine (gas, oil, temp.)

It's a '93, so I know I'm computerized, but the haynes manual didn't say anything about a speed sensor/

Any ideas are appreciated.

Fuses might be some of the problem. If the cigarette lighter is not working it is a good chance that one fuse, if not more, is blown. So check those first.

The speedo not working might be the actual speedo gear in the side of the Transfer Case. It has probably slipped out of place. If you take it out (1 bolt) and turn it either clock wise or counter clock wise and put the bolt back in. Then take it for a test drive and see if it works. I had to adjust mine 2-3 times before it would work.

Here is a link to show you how to change the speedo gear. You won't need to change it, but it gives you pics of what will need to be adjusted.
