I have the standard front wheel disc and rear drum. Recently just put brand new brakes on it. Im talking front rotors, pads and rear drums, shoes, and all new hardware...no wheel cylinders. I took it for about a 2 hour drive one day to the beach. I got stuck in traffic for a while, and the right side heated up. Id brake, itd pull right. Let off the brake, itd pull left. Smoke ended up pouring out, blah blah you know. Let it cool off, all good. Took it to a Killswitch Engage concert the other day, about an hour away. Heated up again, BUT on the left side. ALSO as I come to stops, there is a clunking coming from the rear end, and it seems to grab at a certain point in the rotation of the wheels, but lets go. Doesnt make sense to me cause theres brand new everything in the rear brakes except cylinders. HELP!

Have you recently adjusted your e brake?how far do you have to pull up on it? it sounds like your shoes are dragging and something is not retracting.

no havent adjusted it. it just started doing it recently too. i pulled the drums off, and blew the brakes off with air, and played with the 4wd and took the front dshaft off. (for another reason) it went away, and came back about a week later.
