I have a 93 xj and its been sitting all last yr. I had it runnung great last yr. Now it won't start. It turns over has fuel to the rail, spark to the plugs, and obviously air. All the fuses are good and also I have no gauges or gauge lights including check eng light n all that. Me n my dad are stumped n he is great at fixing cars. He thinks its a combined problem prob sum thing electrical. Please help! Any suggestions?

 

I know that you say you have fuel and spark. But do you have a strong blue spark? Any other color will not work well on the 4.0. Also you may want to check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail with a mechanical pressure gauge. Your 93 should have 39psi +or- 5psi. Those would be the first thing to verify before you move on. Let us know what you find and we can go from there.

Ok thank you. I know for a fact the spark wasn't blue it was orange n the 1st and 6th cyl had a weak spark. My jeep is 45mins away so I will replace the spark plugs when I go up to wrk on it this weekend and I will post my progress. Thank you again

 

How fresh is the battery? A weak battery will cause low fuel pressure and a weak spark.
