Default 93 straight 6 engine swap. no spark

Figured id post here and see what our straight 6 wizzards say but Just as it says i swapped another straight 6 into my zj that i blew up but when i parked it had no runability probs. Swapped in the motor hooked everything up and no spark. Turns over fine plenty of fuel. All fuses check out but the werid thing is coil has power but no spark out of the coil. Now i tried my old coil, boughta crank sensor and still nothing. Has power but i dont think its 12v. Lost my meter so gonna buy another today. The ground by the coil is mint. Aanyone else got any feed back or had a similar problem?

When mine 91 did that it was the cam position sensor in the distributor cap, not 100% sure you have one but something to look at. I would first check the voltage to the coil with a meter when you pick one up.

Wouldn't hurt to double check distributor cap and rotor, and plug wires. A lot of the repair manuals have screwed up images of the plug order, it helps to use the screw holes as a reference. Also if you pulled the distributor at any point make sure you have it indexed properly while at TDC.

Wait until its dark and watch for any stray sparks while someone else cranks it. Swap a plug wire with the coil wire.

New coil nothing. Shouldnt the crank sensor send pulses to the computer? I checked both wires with power and they are just solid when cranking over

What year and model is the replacement engine? Which wiring harness did you use? Which computer? Which year sensors? Give us all the info. You are probably above my skill level but someone on here will know.

Maybe check the wiring harness and wires around the crank position sensor tomorrow, you know get a fresh start.

Using my same senors and wiring which is 93 zj straight 6 same computer.. Motor is a 95 straight 6.

Checked wiring. Many times along with fuses. Turns over like a champ. Plenty fuel. Just no pulse to the coil. But it has power and ground to it.
