Well, my tensioner is broke on my 93 cherokee. Its the one thats mounted to the power steering pump. It was good for about 6 months, but now the belt is getting kinda loose and squeaking like crazy..so i guess i better fix it. I went to orileys today to get a new tensioner, and they dont show the part....i think its just two bolts thats hooked to the power steering pump..where do i get them? How do i swap them? Its my daily..its a asap situation lol thanks

 

Take the air cleaner box off to make access easy and you will have 2 13mm bolt on the back of the pump to loosen and the 1 on the bottom.
It's pretty easy to replace just take your time.

 

easy to get on and off, but where can i get parts? i just need the two bolts that are broke...i assume its a dealer part?

 

assume so. I'm confused how the bolt would be the cause unless it's snapped? Could also be the collar.

 

part 13 was broke on that diagram..i welded a nut to it to fit the bolt 8 on it and it worked....thanks for help!
