CPS wont stop it from cranking. try to start it in neutral, try jumping the solenoid. double check all the battery cable connections.

Not the CPS because it would crank, but not start. Could be the ASD relay (Automatic Shutdown Relay) which is located under the hood in the fusebox. Could also just be the starter. Try tapping it with a hammer lightly. It works best is someone turns the key while you tap it with a hammer. Or you could do the old-time unsafe method of jumping the terminals with a screwdriver while the ignition is on.

Preffer not to try the unsafe method, i still have scar's from that method, but anyway how can you tell if the relay is bad? what do i do just replace it or can i swapp the AC relay with the ASD
