92 windshield dif from a 97?

Default 92 windshield dif from a 97?

Jus wondering if there any difference in the windshields ?

92 uses chrome trim where as the 97 uses rubber. not sure if that means there is a slight size difference or not. also, the 97+ has a black vignette around the edge.

but i can't see why one wouldn't fit in the other.

Ya I noticed the trim. Hopefully the rubber goes back over the 92 windshield. Hate to take them out and not work lol. I have a 92 parts jeep and thought I would give it a try.

so did it work?? i also have a 97 with a broken windshield. the newer body style is harder to find parts for around here and the older xjs are all over the junkyards

Around here some of the local glass guys, replace windshields on the side. $60 and a case of beer. To have him come to my jeep, and replace the windshield. I thought it was a good deal.

I wouldnt use a junkyard windshield. There are millions of XJ's on the road and that makes new windshields pretty cheap
