92 sport wont go into gear.....SOMETIMES !!!
ok so its one thing after another with this project but i guess thats just how it goes. anyway i noticed that it would grind allitle bit when i put it in reverse and i got allitle harder to put in drive over a 2 or 3 day period and then while out yesterday it just refused to engage ANY gear,,so i got it rolling allitle bit and it droped in gear got home and checked the cluch fluid and it was empy but only took like 1/4 cup if that to fill, drove fine till an hour ago and now its getting hard agin but the fluid is not low,,,,trany fluid ? tranfer case fluid ? ,,,,,,,by the way theres 263,000 mile on origonal motor and trany.....

Slave cylinder.
My '92 sport started to do the same at 214k miles, took it to a trany shop and they replaced both the slave and master cylinders. It still fusses when i try to engage reverse, but the forward gears work fine now.
And like you tried, letting the jeep roll a little will help the gears align.
