Need size measurements for a new driveshaft.
a lady I’m helping her driveshaft blew up.
we will have to buy one brand new, which complicates things. Please let me know. The boys at Jeepforum are kinda silent.

 

Where are you located I have one for manual and one for auto. The manual has brand new U-joints, the auto would need new U-joints. FREE

 

Automatic. How much. If it’s more than 250 no dice.
Otherwise can I have the measurements.

I looked on RockAuto, but new seems a bit pricey. Don't you have wrecker yards in CO? Also you need to know what type of rear axle you have...Dana 35 or Chrysler 8.25. A good picture of the rear cover would help. Did she loose the shaft completey?, did it bust a lug?

 

The only 92 at the wreckers has the DS removed and not sure I’ll get a picture this weekend

 

the UJOINT that connects to the slip yoke failed. It shows friction damage from being ungreased. The ujoint ends had worn down and the driveshaft portion that connects to the slip yoke has significant friction damage. It would crack and break again. So it’s best to replace it

 

Ok, A 91-95 with the short transfer case output housing ( normal for those years) should fit but you will need to know axle no matter what direction you go in. Sadly when i junked my 92 a long time ago, I only removed the front driveshaft
