911 daily driver down! overheating!
well… i have figured something out….
with the heat on, it doesn't matter how hard i drive it, it never climbs above 210. with the heat off, its creep up to 215ish almost 220 if I'm beating on it.
does this mean anything?
I'm still taking the cat off today. and up heater hose that comes out of the tstat is leaking a bit, like the squeeze clamp isn't tight enough (i can almost move it by hand, and when i do, a ty stream of coolant shoots out). so I'm going to put a new piece of hose and a screw clamp on it.

alrighty! i cut out the cat converter… its was clogged but not fully. i could look at the sun through it and just barely see a spec. it def feels more powerful, and def sounds WAY better either way! i fixed the leaky heater hose too.
now, heres what its doing:
driving around, cruising the city, heat off, it sits on the top of 210. if i turn on the heat, it sits at the bottom of 210 and stays there. on the highway with the heat off, it sits at 210 or just above. heat on, while on the highway, it sits at 205. heat on or off, if i give it the beans, it cools down to 200ish, then once i let of the gas and slow back down, it heats up relatively quickly up to 215-220 ish and then cools down as i get ready to maintain speed again.
maybe I'm being nit picky? the temps are fluctuating a bit and seemingly at strange times. I'm staying in-between the 10 and 2 marks for sure, by a lot, i would just like to see more stable temps.

also, i did the rear hood lift, no change in temp.
my upper and lower hose are pretty stiff (under pressure) is that normal? there def seems to be flow because if i open the cap and run the engine, you can tell coolant is moving.

because the temp gauge needle sits on 210, which is the vertical mark on my temp gauge.

the needle moves. and it is accurate by all accounts that i can tell.
i will sa this… i do not have a fan shroud. i plan to pick one up, though I'm doubting it will make a difference. and maybe a bypass for the electric fan.
