ive inherited a 91 4.o itll start for a while idle then die....there is pressure at the rail..ive replaced the pressure regulator and the fuel pump seems to prime and work...all fuses are good no leaks or smoke
trying map sensor and overrode the ceramic connectors
any suggestions?
also put heet and injector cleaner in and cleaned rotor and cap

Have you tested the TPS to ensure it is good?
With the ignition in the off position you remove the wiring connector from the TPS and measure the resistance with an Analog meter while moving the throttle cable. The readings should be smooth and consistant; if not there is oxidation built up inside giving the ECM incorrect voltages...
