Been super busy. Haven't had time to take pictures and update. This is what I've spent every non sleeping or working hour on. Trans fluid change, re torque front wheel bearings, frame stiffeners, rock sliders, new axles in the 44, bumper, winch, set tow, adjust ACOS spacers, new drum brakes, checking EVERYTHING related to the running gear and several other little things that needed attention while packing up for the trip. I'm so ready to be in the mountains away from everything...

Sliders worked out great. Had a great trip. Nothing broke. Do need to order longer brake lines. My steering took a BEATING. Need to get it OTK soon. My chainsaw wasn't liking the elevation. It got the job done though.

For the move and the job I bought a truck. Tax write off. Will use it to drag the Jeep when I need to get hours away to wheel. That last trip to slick rock was miserable. Four hours through the valley.... Need to get the new apartment/garage situated. Got to fit the bike-Cadillac-Jeep and all of my tools in there. It will all fit just need to get all the crap for my apartment situated. Now that I have a garage I'm looking at a Nova to get myself behind the pedal of something that goes fast in a straight line. Just need to negotiate on the price with the owner.

Nova deal didn't go through. Price wasn't right. Said the hell with it and decided its time to build my Cadillac. First thing. Find an engine. Picked up this "limo" with a 472 today. Going to yank the motor and hopefully have the body gone by Friday.

Got the engine out and traded the body to a demolition derby friend for a complete 79 4 door. Going to yank the trans, distributor, oil pan and a few other little things then junk it. On the 472 I should be able to roughly get 600hp-600 foot pounds of torque for around $3,000 if there is no major damage to the block. Time to start putting money away. Hopefully I will be on the strip by next spring.

Did the removable door mod today. Not sure if I like having no doors without 5pt harnesses. Think I need to get an extra set of doors and do half doors as they would be cheaper than seats and harnesses.
