Tranny mount? Would maybe "buzz" with engine vibration, rather than vibrate with the slower revs of the drive-line. (granted, a fine distinction)(it is a very small Trout that "vibes" at 2.5K)
One check is to get under there with a bar and pry and see if it seems to be connected well. Mine, I can see on the drivers side engine mount it's shot and not centered. For everything to be 1/2 forward, I know my tranny mount must be shot. I don't get vibes and have other fish to fry for now, but vibration on acceleration IS something that can happen with a bad tranny mount.

Boy, tough from here. Waz me I might swap the rear's to the front. Its free! Since you did U-joints that could narrow it down. No lateral slop in the rear yoke into the diff? Btw I myself seem to be cursed with at least one wheel out of balance. Long story there. Anyway that does happen, even if they have been balanced...allot.

DFlintstone gave me a thought, where did you get your tires and what brand? Wal-Mart and some of the discount stores have a habit of selling not quite right tires that don't balance correctly.
