5-90 is spot on (as usual). On the bottom of my tag with the vac diagram it says "OBD Exempt". (OBD is On Board Diagnostics) , hence the "nag light", for post 90, OBDI, to about 96, then OBDII.

I scroll down to "manage attachments" then "browse" to my photo and double click on it. It doesn't clearly tell me when it's done loading, but the attachment will show. You can always "preview post"

Late follow up. Took it back to the tech and showed him the sticker and he passed it. Thanks everybody for your help.

I need some documents to show him though. No where on the vehicle does it state that it is pre obd or anything like that. There is an actual emission light. It is supposed to turn on when you turn the key on. I replaced the bulb before I found about the maintenance box. Does anybody know the color of the wire or wires that plugged into the box? So I can at least locate them? Also does anybody have printable evidence that it is pre obd so I can educate the smog tech? I'm going for the 10 dollar retest. I don't want to pay the 50 dollars to go to another tech.
The plug for the box is black. Wire colors are Grey, Black, Orange with white stripe. I swapped clusters and my new cluster had the Emissions bulb in it. My old cluster had the bulb removed. My new cluster lit right up showing the emission's light came here for help and the gang told me about the box. I yanked it out and tossed it in the trash and no more light to worry about.

Thanks man. That's a Washington State East side rust free rig. I was painted a couple years back but it's solid, not a hole in it.

Smog shops in California are tough sobs. One shop in town I had the same problem with both my renix jeeps. Saying the check engine light and emissions light isn't coming on. I got into an argument both times. Nice having a shop in town that knows jeeps.
