I got a 1990 4.0L Cherokee automatic. I'm swapping my 90 inline 6 4.0L for a cheap 91 4.0 i found with pretty low miles. Im gonna just use the long block off the new(ish) engine and keep my intake&exhaust manifolds and cooling stuff and distributor and flywheel. Is that all there is to it? the only thing ive been wondering about it the knock sensor i haven't been able to find a good answer about that. Is the knock sensor even gonna matter? From what ive heard just swap everything from the non HO to the HO head and it will basically be a non HO again(but I dont mind its not a speed demon anyway a few hp isn't gonna make much of a difference) has anyone doe this and have any pointers for me?

the knock sensor is useless and you don't need it. just leave it in there so you dont leak anywhere.
