I'm trying to replace my rear main seals..bottom was a breeze but they are both cooked and stuck..I can't get the top one to tap loose..brittle and stuck...any suggestions..I tried loosen the crank a bit first two journals close to the end but not sure if that will help..anyway to spray blaster or wd40 to loosen it up?

 

Might try a syringe with some dish soap in there to act as a lubricant and get that extra bit of slippage!

 

I loosen the crank, but you really have to loosen all the crank bolts, just loosening a couple of journals does nothing.

 

After doing EVERYTHING you've done I had to take a long punch and smack the crap out of mine a couple of times before it popped loose. Then pulled it out with a set of needle nose pliers.
