I went through this same thing about 2 weeks ago. I have an 8.25 and they didn't know what brakes went with it. 9" worked.
If you live close to the parts store you can probobly pick up both and return the ones you don't use. Autozone let me do that with the drums since I didn't know if i would need them.

+2 on the picking up and returning.. i had to buy the gasket for my diff. and didnt know if it was the 8.25 or the D35(i wasnt near it to check or i would have) and advanced let me return the gasket i didnt use

On the D35 you could have either a 9" or 10" drum. 10" drums were an option with certain packages and the police package. So yes you could have a 10" drum. If you search the forum you will find a post that shows a picture of a 9" and 10" drum side by side so you can visually identify them. If not you can also measure them. I nor anyone else can see your drums so asking us what you have is like asking us how much money you have in your bank account. We can only guess.
