Default 89 XJ Windshield wipers won't park

The title says it all.

Wipers work fine in high and low speeds, but will not park when shut off.

Any ideas?

There's a switch inside the motor.

i had this issue, reach under the kneeboard and find your wiper cable. if you have intermittent there is a box that the cables go into and out of, if not, they just plug into each other. Make sure the connection is together and tight.

Mine was loose and they wouldnt park, like you say.
though i think i need a new intermittent box now, since mine arent so intermittent.

My 90' just started doing this as well. I have not done any research on it yet but is the "intermittent" feature a separate module?

Yes, it is a separate module right under the steering column. It's a black box about the size of a deck of cards. It can be completely deleted, and the plugs plugged into each other instead, which is what I did awhile ago since it never worked anyway.
