Default 89 XJ Turn Signals Not Working, Hazards Are

Just as the title says. On my '89, the signals are not working, however the hazards are. It is imperative I get these turn signals working before the weekend is up, I don't want to have to use hand signals out the window in this weather. These XJ's use separate flasher relays, not a combination unit. Both flashers are in working order, the fuses are fine, obviously bulbs are good. What's left to troubleshoot? Just the multi-function switch? If so, what needs to be replaced? Just this switch unit, or the whole lever assembly as well?

Could there be a grounding issue? I have no idea where the ground for the turn signal switch would be.

Any assistance is appreciated, the FSM was surprisingly unhelpful on this issue.

Fuses need to be confirmed for power in and out. They make look good but have no power...

Sorry, I should've elaborated. There is 12v on both sides of the fuse.

Yep, both flashers work fine in the hazard socket. There is 12v at the input post of the turn signal socket as well.

Does the turn signal arm return to center if you click it on and turn then return going straight ?

89 XJ 4.0 auto 4x4 115,00 miles.

This guy said he switched his turn signal relay and his flasher relay. Can somebody tell me where the second is?

On my fuse block I have a blue round one, I believe that is the turn signal one? But I see no other blue one anywhere.

I do have a round metal one though. Is one blue and the other metal?

Haynes shows both the hazard flasher and turn signal flasher on the fuse box under the dash for 84-96. The turn signal flasher is the blue one from what ive seen. And the other is silver.

Yeah I figured it out. My relays are fine, or whatever they are called. It looks to be a gorunding issue. About to start another thread to ask a couple questions. Thank you.
