Anyone know where I can find the vent piece that goes into a Dana 35 for a 1989 xj? It’s the one on the axle and is does not go through the center of the brake line mount like on later models.

 

Any luck finding this? I pull the piece from the frame and now can't get it back in - looks the same.

 

I think you have to get the center portion out, insert outer portion then push the center section in. I tapped and threaded in a brass fitting into mine when I had the shafts out. You could also JB weld a brass fitting in place if you didn't want to pull the shaft to tap the hole (or have access to a forming tap which shouldn't leave chips).
