Before I do a pump anyone have any other fuel related suggestion. This is the first major issue with my $500. Jeep.

Perhaps a clear and concise description of the problem is in order.

Well hurricane Earl went over last week and my truck sat in about 2 feet of water. No problems until 2 days ago. And I only had problems when leaving work. It would stumble a little bit. Today after work it wouldn't even start. Did a shot of starting fluid started right up and then died. Can't hear the pump when key is in on position. Didn't get too much into it. I was too pissed off to deal with it.

Well fuel pump fixed easiest one I've ever done. But now I've got another issue. My charging system won't charge over 12 volts. Constant. I see they list an alt regulator. I'm woundering if that would fix the problem. I've never heard of an alt not charging over 12 volts.

Alternators will generally charge at 13.5 to 14.9 volts when working.
I would suggest the voltage your reading is the battery voltage only.
Start it up and pull the ground cable and see if it dies. If so, replace the alternator.
I just did that myself. $99 at O'Reillys
But its a lifetime garauntee. I know how to work that for all its worth.

I shouldn't unless it draws so many amps it burns a cable up.
