Default 89 vs. 93 steering column

I have an 89 that needs a replacement blinker/wiper/high beam control lever. I don't know how bad it is behind the lever, but the lever is broken off. Someone on CL is selling a 93 steering column. I don't know if there is much of a difference between the two columns and I haven't seen his yet. Does anyone know if the two parts should be the same between the years?

Yeah, I found one also and have been wondering the same thing.... the only thing I think would make sense that would be different would be the wiring harness plug.... but I have no idea too. just as new at this as you are.... don't worry though help is on the way soon.
