Default 89 Sport Brake Question/Problems

Okay just got dont doing a TON of work to the "new addition". I completely replaced the front brakes (pads, rotors, calipers, hardware), bled the fronts out really well (new fluid for the front, never let the reservoir go dry). Anyway i find now that the pedal is a lot softer than it was. It stops but the pedal is almost to the floor. Once the truck is stopped then you can push the pedal all the way to the floor. Hard stop it will stop without fade in the pedal. I also noticed that once sitting for a little while the first few time you hit the brakes you can feel the rear grab really hard before the fronts. After a couple 2 or 3 stops then everything feels "normal". Just wondering what could possibly be the softer peal issue or should i just bleed the whole thing instead of just the front? Also the rears grabbing before the fronts? Never owned a jeep so not sure what normal brake feel should be. Thanks for the input!

first, check to see if the calipers are on the correct sides, (bleeder above the brake line).

if that's good, then look into the master cylinder. they tend to leak into the booster. this will cause your brake fade while stopped at the light.

as for the rears, did you replace the drums and shoes? this will help. if the shoes are good, maybe the drums are undersized now and could be replaced.

i think it is but i will definately check to make sure on the calipers. It was really weird at the parts store in the description it said something like if the caliper is mounted to the rear of the rotor then part numbers are reversed. Really odd and haven't seen that before. I have not replaced the rear shoes, but was planning on it during the weekend for good measure if nothing else. I'll probably bleed the whole system out tonight just to tinker a bit. Do you maybe have a picture of the brake set up to go off of. Thanks

do you mean for the rear?
if so, https://www.cherokeeforum.com/f51/ho...kes-d35-45100/

as for the front, just look to see if the bleeder is above the brake line.
