Default 89 cherokee turn signal lever switch

Hi all!

I need to pull down the entire Turn Signal Lever Switch assembly problem is I don't know how & where to start as I see no screws around the steering column. Can you help me? Would appreciate if you can direct me where to buy it.

Thanks

pop the horn off, rent a wheel puller from autozone. At this point you will see the steering wheel lock you can rent a puller for that too, its the same as a gm column. After that the switch is self explanatory.

Yup pulling the steering is the only way to take it off. Pull on the lever and turn it clockwise and counter clockwise it has a notch in it somewhere and it just pulls off.

First, remove the steering column cover. There are three screws underneath - remove those. Then release the steering column adjustment lever and leave it down. The bottom part of the steering column cover unsnaps from the top part and you should be able to remove it easily. The top part of the steering column cover can just stay there and be moved as necessary to gain access to screws.

There's no covers on a 89 steering column. It has a GM steering column. You have to pull the steering wheel like stated above to remove the blinker switch.
