Hey. I've got a 1992 cherokee with an overhead console that used to work fine, the compass and temp showed up just fine. However, for a while now the console has been blank, and won't turn on. Neither of the buttons on the console do anything. I checked the fuses and none of them are blown, so I don't know what the problem might be.

Anyone got any idea what I can do to fix this?

 

I should also mention that all the lights on the overhead console work fine, so it must be getting power

 

sounds like the circut board is out on yours...about 600.00 to fix..appears to be a common problem...mine has been out for awhile cuz it aint worth 600.00 for me to find out where I am going and how hot it is...

If yours is fried, why not replace it with one from a junkyard? It'll cost much less, and I'm sure it isn't that hard to find. I may have to do that with mine if I can't fix it.

 

what is the number on that board? i am not going to wire that stuff in on my overhead console so if the part number matches, i can send it to one of you guys. just send me your bad one if they match and it fixes yours so i don' have a blank hole in my ohc
